Cultural and Values Assessments

A well aligned culture is a high performing culture. When every one in an organisation feels engaged by the business strategy, valued in the collective vision, and acting through the same framework of values to deliver an exceptional and consistent service or product to their customers, the culture is a powerful asset, working hard to create maximum shareholder value. When a culture is misaligned – conflicted, apathetic, confused – it is not only failing to create shareholder value, it can actually be working to undermine brand equity by delivering poor and inconsistent service.

Brand Architects are accredited by The Values Centre, a US based, highly experienced values assessment specialist, to carry out qualitative and quantitative assessments of organisational cultures and the values. Values  provide an essential supportive framework for every component of an organisation. Everything from priorities, resources, sourcing, reward systems and purchasing, to more traditional values-led concerns such as communications and codes of behaviour are dictated by values.

Cultures for Success

Using a non-intrusive survey that has been developed to identify cultural disparity and common motivations; limiting factors and core strengths; desired qualities and personal values we can create a cohesive view of the organisation as a whole and develop a strategy to create a fully aligned, high performing organisational culture.

Benefits of cultural management

The benefits of proactively managing organisational culture are significant, and often underestimated.

Disciplined cultures don’t need excessive controls, limiting the need for wasteful bureaucracy that leads to disenchanted and resentful employees. Company values can be an important tool to both communicate an aspirational business focus, and aid decision-making without the need for over-regulation, empowering employees to work independently, innovate processes, and take pride in their work. A strong culture means employment costs – the biggest financial drain for many organisations - are drastically cut and talent is retained, improving cohesion and performance.

Properly managed, culture is one of the most valuable, effective and measurable aspects of a business, governing one of a company’s biggest assets.
